Computer Associates International (Islandia, NY) has agreed to acquire 3D visualization and simulation developer MultiGen-Paradigm Inc. (MPI; San Jose, CA). Software giant CA reported in a press announcement that it intends to use MPI technology to further develop its e-business projects....Dassault Systemes (Paris) and Intergraph Corp. (Houston) have announced that they will work together to develop and market shipbuilding applications including engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance. Their expected user base consists of global shipbuilding industries....3Dlabs (Sunnyvale, CA) has announced the sale of a $7.5 million convertible subordinated note due 2004 to Intel Corp. (DuPont, WA). If Intel then converts the note, 3Dlabs would issue approximately 1.3 million shares of common stock to Intel.... Multimedia developer Sausage Software (Melbourne, Australia) has announced that it will acquire Garner MacLennan Design (Sydney, Australia), a digital animation and effects company. The Cadcentre Group (Wilmington, DE), which develops engineering systems for process and power plants, has acquired several engineering database and data management systems from a technical alliance group consisting of Kvaerner ASA and E.I DuPont de Nemours.
