ASIFA-Hollywood’s Board of Directors has recommended two new members to its 16-member Advisory Board: Hannah Minghella and Alex Woo. In 2025, ASIFA-Hollywood created an Advisory Board that was hand selected by ASIFA’s board of directors, and meets twice a year to exchange ideas, review progress and help shape ASIFA-Hollywood's strategic goals.
Hannah Minghella
Hannah is currently the Head of Netflix Animation Studios’ Feature Animation and Family Films and has extensive executive experience at several studios including producer on the Oscar-winning animated short The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, and spearheading Netflix's feature animation slate including the two-time Oscar-winning
KPop Demon Hunters, as well as the upcoming tentpole films
Steps and
Charlie vs. the Chocolate Factory.
“One of the exciting things about Hannah is that she has been a producer in live action and animation spaces which will help create more ties for us between live action and the animation communities,” says ASIFA-Hollywood’s Executive Director Aubry Mintz.
Alex Woo
CEO of Kuku Studios, Alex wrote and directed the Netflix film, In Your Dreams, and was creator and showrunner of the Emmy Award-winning kids show
Go! Go! Cory Carson. Alex has also worked as a Story Artist and Lead at Pixar on films like
Ratatouille,
Wall-e, and
Finding Dory. “Alex will bring fresh, new ideas to the Advisory Board,” remarked Mintz. “He also served as a member of the AnimAID steering committee (ASIFA-Hollywood is its fiscal sponsor) that helped raise over $700K to support those in the animation community who lost their homes in the California Wildfires.”
The current ASIFA-Hollywood Advisory Board members include Brenda Chapman, Margie Cohn, Pete Docter, Dave Filoni, Matt Groening, Jorge R. Gutierrez, Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Tomm Moore, John Musker, Ramsey Naito, Chris Prynoski, Sandy Rabins, Peter Ramsey, Linda Simensky and Tom Sito.
