The Television Academy celebrated the 78th Emmy Awards tonight, recognizing excellence in television programming and individual achievement for the 2025-2026 television season.
The 78th Emmy Awards were held over three nights: Sept. 5th, 6th and 14th. The Sept. 14th ceremony was hosted by multiple Emmy-winner Mariska Hargitay and broadcast live on NBC from the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and was also streamed live and on demand on Peacock. The show was executive produced by Hargitay along with Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay of Jesse Collins Entertainment.
The telecast featured awards in 19 Emmy categories presented by top talent from some of television’s most acclaimed programs.
Additionally, celebrated actor, author and philanthropist Michael J. Fox was presented with the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award in recognition of his transformative contributions to Parkinson’s disease research and advocacy. Fox’s former The Good Wife costar Julianna Margulies presented him with this honor.

Two-time Grammy Award-nominee Noah Kahan performed a moving rendition of “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” for the “In Memoriam” segment, and Reba McEntire sung “Appalachian Memories” in a tribute to Dolly Parton.
A celebration of the 30th anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer with David Boreanaz and Sarah Michelle Gellar and the 50th anniversary of Charlie’s Angels with Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith rounded out the evening.
