Torino, Italy – VIEW Conference is delighted to unveil the growing list of speakers presenting at this year’s conference. The 23rd edition of Italy’s premiere animation, VFX, games, and computer graphics conference, VIEW Conference 2022 takes place from October 16 to 21 in the stunning baroque city of Torino, Italy. The list continues to grow with more speakers due to be announced soon, and the conference is especially pleased to confirm that the majority of speakers are scheduled to attend live and in person.
VIEW Conference is proud to welcome Ramsey Naito who, as president of Paramount Pictures Animation and Nickelodeon Animation, oversees animation content across all formats and platforms, spanning linear, digital, TV movies, theatrical motion pictures, and SVOD. She has been behind hit Nickelodeon projects including Star Trek: Prodigy,
PAW Patrol: The Movie, and the expansion of the SpongeBob SquarePants universe, as well as the forthcoming Paramount theatrical releases of
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, produced by Seth Rogen and Point Grey Pictures, and
The Tiger’s Apprentice, directed by Raman Hui. Earlier, she was producer on the Academy Award-nominated
The Boss Baby.
Also presenting at VIEW Conference 2022 is Sony Pictures Animation president Kristine Belson, celebrating 20 years of innovation at the studio behind the Academy Award®-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the Academy Award-nominated
The Mitchells vs. The Machines, and the successful
Hotel Transylvania franchise. During her presentation she looks back at some of the studio’s most impactful creative breakthroughs, shares her views on what sets Sony Pictures Animation apart, and takes a look at what lies ahead for the studio in both the feature film and series spaces.
In addition, VIEW Conference welcomes the acclaimed directors behind the latest Netflix movies and streaming series. Nora Twomey, co-founder of Cartoon Saloon and producer of Wolfwalkers, presents the studio’s new animated feature for Netflix,
My Father’s Dragon. Director of the Oscar-nominated
The Breadwinner, Twomey received the coveted VIEW Conference Visionary Award in 2018. Director/producer/writer Chris Williams, the Oscar-winning director of

Moana, discusses the Netflix Animation feature
The Sea Beast alongside producer Jed Schlagner and other team members. Creator/executive producer/writer Shannon Tindle and Oscar-winning director Peter Ramsey present the epic adventure series
Lost Ollie, based on the acclaimed children’s book
Ollie’s Odyssey by William Joyce, premiering on August 24 on Netflix.
Among the many workshops featured at VIEW Conference this year is a special masterclass with Georgina Hayns, puppets creative supervisor on Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, the new stop-motion animated feature adapted from the classic children’s novel by Carlo Collodi, directed by del Toro and Mark Gustafson, released in selected theaters in November and streaming on Netflix in December 2022. Meanwhile Mark Hewis, head of the Aardman Academy, delivers an unmissable workshop entitled “The Art of Stop Motion Production.”
Technical artist and games guru Simon Verstraete leads a cutting-edge workshop on procedural concepts with SideFX Houdini and Unreal Engine 5. Exploring the interface between art and technology, digital artist Scott Eaton shares his mind-expanding views on the current state-of-the-art in AI and the extraordinary capabilities it enables for artists everywhere.
This year’s VIEW Conference features a special track dedicated to the Metaverse, bringing together some of the leading thinkers in this fast-moving field and led by Marc Petit, vice president and general manager of Epic Games’ Unreal Engine. Among the speakers are Julien Fournié, CEO, and Jean Paul Cauvin, COO, of Julien Fournié Haute Couture. Explorers of the Metaverse, they will be on stage in front of a live audience to discuss their innovative work with PUBG Studios and present their vision of how arts can combine in the Metaverse. Also speaking is Guidi Quaroni, senior director of engineering, 3D and immersive at Adobe.
Risto Jankkila and Sharman Jagadeesan from Housemarque are at VIEW Conference this year, with a spectacular presentation on the roguelike sci-fi shooter game Returnal. Developed by Housemarque for Sony Playstation 5,
Returnal has won multiple awards including the 2022 BAFTA Games Awards for Best Game and Audio Achievement.
VIEW Conference 2022 also includes a spectacular recruitment fair. The fair gives students and professionals from schools and studios an opportunity to pitch their talents to major game and movie studios, show their reels and meet their mentors, and gives recruiters access to a vast pool of outstanding talent.
