GHENT, BELGIUM — Graphics middleware company Graphine (http://graphinesoftware.com) is offering a new seat license for its Unreal Engine 4 plug-in, which integrates its texture streaming middleware Granite SDK into UE4. Pros can now license Granite for Unreal for $590 per seat.
With this new license, Graphine aims to get its plug-in for UE4 in the hands of every team that needs ultra-high resolution textures. Companies such as The Mill, IM360 Entertainment, The Farm 51 and Allegorithmic are already using Granite as their texture streaming solution for the Unreal Engine. Up until now, Granite for Unreal was only available as a per-project license. According to Graphine, a project license is ideal for big video game productions where users have a clearly-defined project. Now, with the seat license, the company aims to provide a solution for teams or projects that need a different approach.
The seat licenses are available as a perpetual license with one single payment or as a subscription with yearly payments.
