Autodesk’s Stig Gruman Dies

Autodesk has just celebrated its first CAVE Conference during Autodesk University, an event dedicated to bringing together artists, designers, and storytellers. In a nutshell, it is the entertainment yin to CAD’s yang. But there is one person who was truly missed at the event: Stig Gruman, vice president of worldwide M&E sales at Autodesk Media & Entertainment.

Gruman, 51, of Montreal, died unexpectedly late November.

"Stig was a great leader, a wonderful mentor, and colleague to everyone who crossed his path. The employees of Autodesk send their deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues inside and outside of Autodesk," said Rama Dunayevich, senior public relations manager at Autodesk Media & Entertainment.

Gruman had worked at Autodesk for 15 years. Prior to that, he worked at Smith & Nephew and Ernst & Young.

Messages of condolences can be shared publicly on Autodesk's AREA at area.autodesk.com/stiggruman.
