Double Negative Gets BAFTA Nomination

LONDON — Double Negative VFX supervisor David Vickery has been nominated for the “Special Visual Effects” BAFTA award this year for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.”
Dneg's work on the film included the fully digital Hogwarts and its destruction, floating deatheaters, the cart-ride into Gringotts vault and the Gringotts dragon.

The BAFTA SVFX nomination follows Dneg’s nominations in the 10th Annual Visual Effects Society awards for Deathly Hallows 2, Captain America and Paul, and Annie award nominations for Paul.

Vickery will be in LA with fellow Dneg supervisor Charlie Noble to present at the Oscar VFX Bake-offs on January 19th, for their work on “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2” and “Captain America” respectively.
