E-on software Unveils Ozone Version 5

Beaverton, Ore. - E-on software, makers of Digital Nature solutions and technologies, announced the immediate availability of Version 5 of Ozone, its atmospheric plug-in for Autodesk’s 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage, Maxon’s Cinema4D, and NewTek’s LightWave.
Ozone 5 implements the Spectral 3 cutting-edge technologies developed by e-on software for the simulation and rendering of atmospheric effects. Ozone 5 atmospheres provide an accurately simulated environment that affects all scene elements and behaves according to nature's rules, according to a representative.

Based on real-world atmospheric behavior, the Spectral 3 engine produces ultra-realistic environments with volumetric clouds, accurate light dispersion, and natural phenomena, such as Godrays.

Ozone 5 is compatible with MentalRay's specific technologies, such as Sun&Sky, Photometric Lights, Distributed Bucket Rendering, etc. Ozone 5 is also compatible with V-Ray's specific Sun and Sky technologies.

Ozone contains algorithms that are capable of rendering extremely detailed volumetric clouds and their associated shadows at an incredible pace. Cloud cross shadowing is user controllable allowing clouds to cast shadows on each other.

Ozone 5 includes presets for all kinds of atmospheric conditions: bright daytime, bad weather, sunrise, sunset, night time, etc. Users can customize the atmosphere using dedicated tools and the library of over 140 preset cloud shapes.

Ozone 5 is available in English for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7, and on Mac OSX 10.5+ (Mac Intel only) for both 32- and 64-bit.

A single license of Ozone 5 will work with all compatible applications and renderers installed on the end user's system.

Ozone 5 for Maya works with Mental Ray, Maya software and V-Ray renderers.
Ozone 5 for 3ds Max works with Mental Ray and V-Ray renderers.
Ozone 5 for Softimage works with Mental Ray.
Ozone 5 for LightWave and Cinema4D works with the native renderer.
Ozone 5 retails at US $295, with upgrades from Ozone 4.0 available for $95. RenderNode network rendering licenses are available at $95 per node.
