AMD introduces entry-level graphic card

SUNNYVALE, CA — AMD (www.amd.com) has launched the FirePro V4900, an entry level-priced graphics card aimed at DCC and CAD workflows. The FirePro V4900 leverages AMD’s most advanced graphics technology and also features the company’s Eyefinity multi-display technology, which supports up to six displays.

The GPU’s 1GB of 128-bit GDDR5 RAM drives memory bandwidth of 64 GB/s5, allowing rapid data access, while Microsoft DirectX11, OpenGL 4.2 and OpenCL support empowers users to render and manipulate models using a broad range of tools and applications.

The FirePro V4900 will be available in a range of systems from HP and others.
