New Orleans, La. - AMD treated attendees at SIGGRAPH 2009 in New Orleans to a Tech Talk on GPU-accelerated rendering. Massive parallelism and high precision in modern GPUs allow them to move from being tools in content generation to being ubiquitous components of the production pipeline. Interactive production rendering is allowing changes to the workflow itself, because content creators are able to see their final output in near-real time. This session summarized how AMD and its partners are deploying these changes.
