Visual Effects Society Publishes White Paper

Los Angeles, Calif. - The Visual Effects Society (VES) has published its first white paper, "The State of Visual Effects in the Entertainment Industry."
The document examines existing conditions within the visual effects industry and how these issues affect the entertainment business on a macro scale, from workflow to the interaction of personnel within various departments and the extraordinary impacts that the digital revolution has caused.

"The VES is the foremost knowledge-base in the world concerning visual effects and we feel that we have a unique perspective as to how the work of visual artists and technologists intersect to have a huge impact on the business model bottom line," says VES executive director Eric Roth. "We are very excited to publish this first paper, which will serve as a foundation for future white papers delving into significant issues which face not only our craft, but the entertainment industry as a whole."
