iSuppli Webinar to Impart the Costs of Flat-panel Technologies

El Segundo, Calif. - Knowing the true costs of competitive technologies can make the difference between success and failure in the flat-panel display business, say representatives of iSuppli Corp.
To gain a competitive edge, companies can use iSuppli Corp.’s Flat Panel Display Manufacturing Cost Models to simulate production costs. Beyond using these models internally to calculate base pricing, companies employ them for competitive analysis and to understand the effects of design and process changes.

iSuppli offers six main flat-panel cost models: TFT-LCD, TFT-LCD for mobile handsets, STN-LCD, plasma, Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED), and printable emissive.

iSuppli’s upcoming Webinar, entitled: Don’t Get Caught Flat: Know the Costs of Flat Panel Technologies, is designed to aid businesses in answering the following questions:
·         How are costs distributed across materials, labor, and overhead for a given display?
·         What is the impact of improving yields?
·         In what areas will new 7th, 8th, or 9th generation LCD panel fabs reduce manufacturing costs?
·         What steps or materials contribute to high costs?

Hosted by iSuppli’s Clay Sheppard, consulting analyst for iSuppli, the Webinar will be held on Tuesday, July 10, at 5 p.m. Pacific Time. Attendees can call in to the Webinar to hear Sheppard’s comments and can use an Internet browser to view the presentation slides. He will take questions from Webinar attendees.
