Eyeon Software Releases Fusion 5.2 Learning Edition

IBC 2007, Amsterdam - Eyeon has released the Fusion 5.2 Learning Edition this year at IBC in Amsterdam.
This freely-available learning version of eyeon’s film compositing software was produced to help artists experiment and master Fusion without the need to purchase any licenses.
 
All of the features and power available with a commercial license of Fusion are also present in the Fusion 5.2 Learning Edition. Built on the release of Fusion 5.2, users will have access to more than 100 updates and modifications, such as interface performance improvements in various areas that make the artist’s workflow more efficient.
 
New features included in the Fusion 5.2 LE are:
3D LUTs, fully GPU accelerated with plug-in file formats, support for 3D LUTs in both the FileLUT tool and as a view LUT Expanded metadata handling for DPX, Cineon, and OpenEXR formats
Fusion’s scriptable plug-ins allow for the design and running of image processing tools created in the Fusion Lua scripting engine
Python scripting has been added to control Fusion from web hosts and interfaces to Python-based film pipeline management systems
Tracker’s new infinite sub pixel precision method is faster and more accurate over changing footage
A new Vector Motion Blur tool Plus additional new tools, and hundreds of UI enhancements and workflow improvements
 
Limitations to the Fusion 5.2 Learning Edition include the following: Any images written to disk will be stamped with watermarks to prevent their use commercially. In addition, the Fusion 5.2 Learning Edition does not load third-party plug-ins, and compositions saved with this edition cannot be opened with a commercial license of Fusion.
