Diamond Multimedia Ships PCI Express Version of ATI Radeon HD 2900XT

Chatsworth, Calif. - Diamond Multimedia, a manufacturer of PC graphics cards, sound cards, and communications products, is shipping the PCI Express version of the HD 2900XT.
The ATI Radeon HD 2900XT is AMD’s new flagship GPU and the foundation of a new generation of ATI Radeon Graphics. The PCIE model of Viper HD 2900XT is a high-performance PCIE graphics card featuring the ATI Radeon chip. The card uses the Radeon RV600 GPU, also known as R600, and comes in a 512MB GDDR3 interface. It has a core clock speed of 740MHz and a 825GHz memory speed. It supports dual DVI (x2 dual-link), HDTV with VIVO (HDMI support through dongle).  

The Viper HD 2900XT unleashes the power of DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0. It also delivers powerful graphics performance, improved stability, and an immersive HD gaming experience for Windows Vista. 
The Catalyst Control Center software is designed for quick set up of graphics, video, and multiple displays, and automatically configures optimal system setting for lifelike DirectX 10 gaming and the Windows Aero user interface. It supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) with full postprocessing capabilities, including anti-aliasing, providing sharp texture filtering to ensure that every game detail is crisp and clear. The HD 2900XT features built-in native HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection).
