Cascade SIGGRAPH Presents Bring Your Own Art, Celebrates Computer Graphics Community

Portland, Ore. - Cascade ACM SIGGRAPH, Western Oregon and Southwest Washington’s local SIGGRAPH chapter, has announced “Bring Your Own Art” (BYOA), scheduled to take place during Portland’s First Thursday, on June 7 at 6 p.m. at the Pacific Northwest College of Art, located at 1241 NW Johnson Street, Portland, Ore.
The equivalent of an “open mic night,” BYOA is a celebration of the computer graphics community in Western Washington and Oregon, showcasing works in progress, projected art, animation, 2D and 3D models, fine art, visual, Web, print, game, and graphic design. With more than 2000 people attending First Thursday, the event provides artists with an exciting opportunity to show their work and gain inspiration and knowledge from their peers.
Submissions are open to the public. To participate, contact Michael Smith, byoa2007@cascadesiggraph.org  or (503) 809-1602, and submit the following artist information: participant contact information, type of art (wall art, sculpture, video animation, etc.), art size, and title.

Plan to set up your art for the show on Monday, June 4 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Bring files on disk, DVD, or VHS.  If the art is in a video computer file, please use MPEG, AVI, WMV, or QuickTime formats.
