TerraMetrics and AGI Announce Global Imagery Partnership

Littleton, Colo. - TerraMetrics Inc., a supplier of satellite imagery databases, 3D terrain datasets, and software tools for visual simulation and training, is partnering with Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI) to provide TruEarth 15-meter-per-pixel global imagery to users of STK, AGI’s software for analysis of land, sea, air, and space assets. AGI is also including a reduced-resolution, 8-kilometer-per-pixel version of TruEarth global imagery in all three editions of the newly released STK 8 software.

TerraMetrics produces global imagery using proprietary TruEarth color processing for accurate, natural-color balance. Derived from uncompressed source data, TruEarth 15-meter imagery is free from compression artifacts that can compromise image quality, making the dataset ideal for demanding applications.

“Our TruEarth 15-meter imagery will allow STK users to pursue close-to-ground flight modeling and simulation on a whole new level,” says Greg Baxes, president, TerraMetrics. “We’re pleased to partner with AGI and to support the important work of its user community in the national security and space arenas.”

"TerraMetrics’ global imagery offers our software users an excellent backdrop for dynamically analyzing and visualizing air and ground missions that span the entire globe,” says Kevin Flood, AGI director of product management.
