benchmarkNvidia 900 XGL Leads New 3ds max BenchmarksThe Nvidia 900 XGL bested other cards, including 3Dlabs' Wildcat III, Nvidia's own 700XGL, and the ATI FireGL 8800 in recent benchmark tests based on the new 3ds max-01 subset of the SPECviewperf 7.0 benchmarks that is based on Discreet's 3ds max modeling and animation software. The subset consists of 14 tests, each of which represents an important mode of operation within 3ds max.
The mean scores represent the combined, weighted results of the 14 tests, measured in the number of frames per second the machines were able to execute. The larger the numbers, the better the performance.
