Flix Video Encoding from Wildform

Version 2.0, recently released by Wildform, comes with the added capability of converting standard video into vector video-video consisting of lines and curves defined by mathematical equations that can scale to any size. This addition makes Flix a potentially useful tool for animators, since the software can turn any video into an animation that can be manipulated and edited in the Flash authoring tool. Video footage can thus be made to look like line drawings or paintings.

The Pro Flash Video Encoder costs $149. A Lite version, which doesn't support vector format, costs $49. Both versions run on Win dows and Mac systems. (Wildform; www.wildform.com) -JD
