The new viewsets were developed to better represent tasks that today's graphics workstations might be expected to perform. They include, for example, larger window and model sizes, and multiple textures. The new benchmarks are available at www.spec.org/gpc.
This month, we list the scores from the six workstation and graphics card combinations that have posted results for the newly upgraded Lightscape viewset (Light-04) of the SPECviewperf benchmark, version 6.1.2. The Lightscape viewset consists of walkthroughs in four differently rendered environments.
The mean scores represent the combined, weighted results of the tests, measured in the number of frames per second the machines were able to execute. The larger the number, the better the score. To see other test results, visit www.spec.org/gpc.
