"The most striking thing about these workstations is the lower prices," says Sarang Ghat pande, an analyst with D.H. Brown. "And the graphics have been improved, primarily with the flat-panel monitors." These improvements, notes Ghatpande, make the new machines more competitive with rival units from HP and Sun.
Prices for the Intel-based Pro series start at $1400. The Power series ranges from $13,000 to $75,000. -JD |
