Films Featuring Double Negative VFX Gain Oscar Nominations

London - Three films featuring work from Double Negative have been nominated for a Visual Effects Oscar: Inception, Iron Man 2, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1.

Inception has been nominated for an Academy Award for Visual Effects. Inception's VFX supervisor and founding member of Double Negative, Paul Franklin, was nominated along with SFX supervisor, Chris Corbould, and DNeg's VFX supervisors, Peter Bebb and Andrew Lockley.
 
Iron Man 2 was also nominated for the award, with nominees including DNeg's VFX supervisor on the film, Ged Wright, along with the film's overall VFX supervisor, Janek Sirrs. Ben Snow and Daniel Sudick were also nominated.

The 2011 Academy Awards will take place in Los Angeles, on February 27th, 2011.
