Emeryville, Calif. - Animator Clay Kaytis of Disney Animation Studios talks with Five Young Disney Artists about their professional journey, education, importance of mentors, and experience working in a studio in an exclusive Animation Mentor podcast: Behind the Scenes at Disney's Talent Development Program.


Clay Kaytis, Disney animator and creator of the Animation Podcast, explores Disney's Talent Development Program during a roundtable discussion with five young artists who share their educational and professional experiences, what it is like to be mentored, and their journey toward becoming members of the crew with a voice in the process of creating animated films.

Podcast participants came to Disney through its Talent Development Program within the last two years: Kira Lehtomaki (CG Animation); Lorelay Bove (Visual Development); Joe Pitt (2D Animation); Jeremy Spears (Story); and Sarah Airriess (2D Animation). In this roundtable discussion with Kaytis, these artists share experiences of animation education, being mentored in the studio, and the journey of establishing themselves as members of the crew who have a voice in the process of making animated films.
