LOS ANGELES — At the SIGGRAPH show recently, PipelineFX highlighted two new additions to its Qube! render farm management family: a new app named Qube! MobileView, which makes viewing and managing render tasks on a mobile device easy; and a CPU core coordinator called QBLocker.
The company also sponsored two workshops during the show. On August 6, Pipeline presented the Qube! Artist Workshop in room 301A of the Los Angeles Convention Center, Room 301A.
On August 8, the company’s “Birds of a Feather” discussion covered various “Challenges and Solutions for Today’s Render Pipeline.” Topics included the pain points, trends, and capacity scaling strategies tied to render pipelines, as well as cloud rendering options and hybrid render pipeline models. After a panel discussion, the room opened up to audience questions. The event took place from 1:30-3:00pm in LACC room 402A.
“For our 10th SIGGRAPH, we wanted to deliver something that made professional render management an even more intuitive and approachable process for pipeline managers,” notes Richard Lewis, CEO of PipelineFX. “Then we got inspired, and came up with two.”
