SIGGRAPH attendees can learn about the trials and tribulations the team of Cogswell Polytechnical College students and professionals encountered in their quest to bring a six-armed goddess to life. Talks will take place in booth #1110 on Tuesday and Wednesday at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm (Sure Fire Tips for Creating an Awesome Short Animation), and 4:30 pm (Challenges of Rigging a Six-Armed Goddess). Prior to each Tech Talk is a screening of the award-winning short animated film, “The Offering,” a product of the Project X class. Cogswell developed a new model for teaching animation through Project X, a class that mirrors a professional animation studio. This project-based method immerses students in a learning experience that takes them through the entire production pipeline.
