At SIGGRAPH, Chaos Group presents two new products:
V-Ray for Maya and V-Ray RT. V-Ray for Maya, available for purchase in
August 2009, enables the rendering of larger scenes with greater
complexity. 3D artists can rely on a faster rendering process with
V-Ray for Maya, says a representative. V-Ray for Maya features include
true 3D motion blur, sun & sky procedural lighting system, physical
camera for matching live footage, environment fog, and a set of
subsurface scattering shaders. V-Ray RT, an interactive renderer for
Autodesk’s 3ds Max, is designed to change the way 3D artists and
visualization specialists approach the lighting and shading setup.
