BOXX Technologies is tapping into the renowned creativity of the BOXX customer to design a greener future. BOXX and AMD are co-sponsoring a contest called, “Creativity for a Greener World,” which gives 2D and 3D visual artists an opportunity to submit their own vision of a greener world, for a chance to win an ultra-efficient BRAMMO Motorsports Enertia Electric Motorcycle. While the official contest deadline is August 22, 2008, early contest participants’ work will be displayed on the BOXX Web site (www.boxxtech.com) during the month of August. SIGGRAPH 2008 attendees have a chance to see the Enertia Motorcycle on display at the BOXX booth. The contest, which is open to the public, can be entered online by registering at the BOXX Technologies’ Web site and submitting a 2D illustration, 3D rendering, or a 20-second animation by August 22, 2008.
The Enertia, an urban commuter bike that exceeds 50 mph and a 40-mile range on a single three-hour charge, was designed using an APPEXX 4 super workstation and is powered by four Quad-core AMD Opteron processors. AMD is also a co-sponsor of the “Creativity of a Greener World” contest.
The work submitted must portray the concept of a "Greener World,” such as a nonpolluting transportation system, a futuristic house with sustainable energy sources, or even green consumer products. For contest details, visit the BOXX Web site at www.boxxtech.com.
