VES & Autodesk partner on 'Ask Me Anything' Initiative

LOS ANGELES — The Visual Effects Society (www.visualeffectssociety.com) has launched Ask Me Anything: VFX Pros Tell All, a new year-long initiative that will shine a light on diversity in visual effects. The initiative was created in partnership with software developer Autodesk, and will include a lineup of talks with successful visual effects professionals from different backgrounds.

Ask Me Anything: VFX Pros Tell All will include six free and open to the public live webcasts, the first of which is set to take place on Tuesday, October 15th on Zoom and Facebook Live. Karen Dufilho, an Academy Award- and Emmy Award-winning producer, will be featured in the first installment. She has been working at the intersection of story, animation and innovation for almost two decades.

Some of the VFX pros who will appear in the webcast series include Sidney Kombo-Kintombo, award-winning animation supervisor at Weta Digital; Neishaw Ali, executive producer and president at SPINVFX; and Greg Anderson, head of studio-NY, senior VFX supervisor at FuseFX.
