The film won five awards in total. Aside from Best Animated Feature, it also scored the top prize for Best Director (Dean DeBlois), Best Feature Character Design, Best Storyboarding, and Best Music at the 42nd Annies.
Meanwhile, “Feast,” the animated short film from Disney, won in the Best Short Subject category. And “My Big Brother” from Jason Rayner (SCAD) won for Best Student Film.
