No VFX-heavy features are in the final nominations for Best Film contention in this year’s BAFTA Film Awards. However, that leaves the race for Best Visual Effects wide open.
The five nominated films in the VFX category of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (Bafta) Awards are:
Dawn of the Planet Of The Apes
Guardians of the Galaxy
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
Interstellar
X-Men: Days of Future Past
Meanwhile, the features vying for Best Animated Film include:
Disney’s Big Hero 6
LAIKA and Focus Features’ The Boxtrolls
Warner Bros.’ The LEGO Movie
