Golden Globe Nominations Announced

Birdman may have received the most attention thus far in the Golden Globes with the most nominations (seven), but in terms of animated feature film, there were few surprises as Big Hero 6, The Book of Life, The Boxtrolls, The Lego Movie, and How to Train Your Dragon 2 made the final list.
Features vying for the two Best Motion Picture categories were short on visual effects and longer on story this year, as none of the major VFX blockbusters made it onto either list.

One of the surprises was Grand Budapest Hotel. Along with a best picture nod in comedy, it earned nominations for Ralph Fiennes as best actor, and Wes Anderson for screenplay and director.
