Polhemus Sees Major Changes
A pioneer in motion-measurement technology, Polhemus experiences management buyout and ownership change.
COLCHESTER, VT— Polhemus, a privately held, premier motion measurement technology company, has changed ownership. Polhemus President Skip Rodgers has
added co-owner to his title effective December 31, 2012. Skip Rodgers purchased shares from former co-owner, Ken Jedrzejewski, prompted by Jedrzejewski's announcement to retire. Jedrzejewski leaves behind 35 years of service to Polhemus, with over 10 years as a company owner. Al Rodgers remains as co-owner and maintains his role as CEO.
The shift in ownership brings no change in business focus. As the industry experts
in electromagnetic tracking, Polhemus will continue with its current scope of business, focusing on military, research and technology, and health-care applications. The company will continue to operate out of its headquarters in Colchester, Vermont.
Skip Rodgers issued a statement after the agreement was finalized. "Polhemus is positioned well for future success; the diversity of our markets gives Polhemus a broad spectrum of opportunities for continued revenue growth. As with the last ten years, continuing as a privately held company gives us a great advantage—to remain adaptable and react quickly to the market. Al and I are proud to be leading such a great company."
