BOXX Boosts Performance and Options with New Multi-Core Intel Ivy Bridge Processors

AUSTIN, TX — BOXX Technologies' hardware solutions will now featureIntel Core i7-4960X processor Extreme Edition, Intel Core i7-4930K, i7-4820K, and Intel Xeon Processor E5-2600 v2 technologies.

These latest, highly anticipated Intel "Ivy Bridge-E" processors will provide significant performance increases and configuration options for 3DBOXX 4900 and 8900 series workstations, as well as renderBOXX and renderPRO dedicated rendering modules. BOXX is among the first hardware manufacturers to offer systems featuring the new micro architectures.

"The world's fastest supercomputer just over 15 years ago is now available in BOXX workstations and dedicated rendering systems," said Frank Soqui, Intel Corporation, Technical Computing Group, and Workstation General Manager.  "They feature two of the latest Intel Xeon Processor E5-2600 v2 that deliver just over one teraflops of performance. Now users can explore, discover, and innovate faster than ever before."

In the Intel Xeon-based 3DBOXX 8900 series workstations, users will now be able to configure a wide range of workstation options up to 24 core system. With hyperthreading, this system provides up to 48 virtual cores for multitasking within the most demanding workflows. Twenty-four cores are also available in the rack-mounted renderBOXX and desk side renderPRO, providing the dedicated rendering modules with unparalleled rendering capacity. The increase in cores also allows for better workstation customization, while users who require Intel Core i7 processors may no longer be forced to move to a dual processor system in order to increase system performance. All BOXX systems provide outstanding performance for visualization, 3D animation, modeling, and motion media.
