AMHERST, NY — ATTO Technology Inc. has launched a broad portfolio of 16Gb/s Fibre Channel solutions consisting of Celerity Host Bus Adapters (HBAs), FibreConnect switches and FastStream RAID storage controllers. These new products provide users the ability to create an entire Fibre Channel infrastructure that delivers high-speed, high-capacity storage on multiple platforms.
ATTO’s Celerity 16Gb/s Fibre Channel HBAs are based on the latest PCIe 3.0 technology to deliver high-performance as well as reliable and scalable connectivity with twice the maximum throughput of previous solutions. They address the needs of high IOPs applications, virtualized environments and large block content creation with faster and more efficient data transfers with ATTO’s Advanced Data Streaming technology for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux operating systems. Celerity HBAs are ideal in media and entertainment, healthcare, oil and gas, CAD/CAE and high-performance computing markets. Available for servers, Celerity is the only line of HBAs that also allow workstations direct connectivity with enterprise class storage. In addition they support target mode and allow OEMs and system integrators to create their own branded 16Gb/s storage solution.
ATTO’s FibreConnect 1600 series of 16Gb/s Fibre Channel switches are engineered to deliver smooth and reliable data transfer on a SAN — a critical component for applications such as video streaming and virtualized environments. When combined with Celerity 16Gb/s HBA's, FibreConnect switches provide complete SAN connectivity with high-bandwidth, low latency and the lowest power consumption in the industry.
The ATTO FastStream 9000 is a first-to-market 16Gb/s Fibre Channel RAID Controller that allows users to attach to low cost SAS/SATA JBOD storage creating a RAID protected solution without compromising high performance. They support data-intensive IT environments and are available in desktop or embeddable form factors. ATTO FastStream storage controllers are used in tiered storage solutions to back up and house large data files and can be used as a platform for asset management integration. With the addition of Celerity HBAs and FibreConnect switches, users can incorporate a “pay-as-you-grow” approach to scale client connectivity. Additionally, ATTO’s DriveAssure technology prevents premature drive failures and slowdowns ensuring uninterrupted access to data. In the event that a drive does fail, DriveAssure allows for 100% performance during rebuilds.
