London - This year’s BAFTA nominations include a Special Visual Effects Nomination for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. Framestore's contribution to Harry Potter included the creation of Dobby and Kreacher and the magical, animated storybook sequence.
Christian Manz, one of the four named nominees, led the Framestore team. Framestore has also received six nominations for the 9th Annual VES Awards.

Two Framestore-created characters from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Dobby and Kreacher, were nominated for Outstanding Animated Character in a Live Action Feature Motion Picture. The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 was also nominated for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual-Effects Driven Feature Motion Picture. The Framestore team on SALT was nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Feature Motion Picture category. The Sand Room, created by Framestore for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, received a nomination for Outstanding Created Environment in a Live Action Feature Motion Picture. In the Outstanding Animated Commercial category, the Framestore spot “Andrex” received a nod.
