2011 Into the Pixel Collection Issues Call for Submissions

Into the Pixel has toured worldwide, including appearances at E3 Expo, the Design Center in Stuttgart Germany, the European Festival of Art in Nottingham England, The Bradford Animation Festival, Creative Artists Agency, Animfx in New Zealand, the San Jose Technology Museum, The National Cable Show, E for All, the Toronto International Film Festival, SIGGRAPH Asia, the Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco, and South by Southwest Interactive.

What: Created in 2004 by the Entertainment Software Association, ITP is an exploration and celebration of the art of video games from around the world. Into the Pixel features a representative sampling of video game art, selected by a panel of jurors from a field of submissions. All the works of art chosen for the collection are printed by a master printer, then professionally framed and hung. In June, the art will debut with a jury event and cocktail reception at the E3 Expo.

Why: Now in its eighth year, the ITP has established itself as the one annual opportunity for computer and video game artists to receive critical review of their creative achievements by peers in the digital interactive and traditional fine art worlds.

When: Submissions close April 15, 2011. The 2011 ITP Collection will be revealed and featured at the E3 Expo in June 2011.
