NVArt Competition Opens: Digital Artists Invited to Submit Work in the Style of Syd Mead

Santa Clara, Calif. - The Nvidia NVArt Competition opens today; for detailed information on how to enter, click here.  The theme this year is Images of Future Transport: In The Style of Syd Mead. Submissions for NVArt open and will close on June 30th.


Judging the competition alongside legendary artist Syd Mead will be: Adam Savage and Jaime Hyneman, hosts of the MythBusters TV Show; Kevin Kelly, co-founder of Wired Magazine; Mark Frauenfelder, founder of BoingBoing; Brian Gernard, creative director of Kerner; Lorne Lanning, co-founder of Oddworld Inhabitants; Mark Snoswell, president of the CGSociety, and David Wright, creative director at Nvidia.

First prize in the NVArt competition is $10,000 cash, plus two Nvidia Quadro FX 5800 4GB - 240 CUDA Processors (our latest model). The top three finalists will also receive travel to SIGGRAPH, where they will announce the winners.
