Montreal International Game Summit (MIGS) Unveils the Official Program for MIGS 2010

Montréal, Canada - The Montreal International Game Summit (MIGS) is proud to announce the official speaker line-up for MIGS 2010, taking place November 8th and 9th at the Hilton Bonaventure in Montréal. 

MIGS 2010 brings together more than 80 video game industry experts who will join the previously announced keynote speakers for a highly exciting event! Here's an overview:

Arts and Visual Effects:

Neville Page, entertainment industry designer, currently working on Green Lantern and Spider-Man 4. His lecture: Creative Character Development.

 

John Sharp, professor at Savannah College of Art and Design Atlanta. He is a games designer and art historian with more than two decades of experience. His lecture: The Game Renaissance: Art History for Game Devs.

Business:

Scott Steinberg, CEO of TechSavvy Global, author of Video Game Marketing and PR. His lecture: The New Rules of the Game.

 

Richard Borenstein, Richard Borenstein has 20 years of experience in sales and currently works as a senior executive for Zong. His lecture:Monetizing Your Game: Reaching Into the "Virtual Wallet."

Design:

Christopher James, level designer, has worked on Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2. His lecture: Design Prototyping and Practices.

 

Rafael Chandler, video game writer Rafael Chandler has written or co-written SOCOM 4, MAG, U-Wars, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 and Rainbow Six: Lockdown. His lecture: The Narrative of Narrative.

Production:

Blake Rebouche, associate game designer at Junction Point Studios, he has worked on Disney Epic Mickey for the Nintendo Wii. His lecture: Game Jamming in a Large Studio Environment.

 

Ollie Sykes and Olivier Proulx, Ollie Sykes and Olivier Proulx, creative director and executive producer at EA Mobile's Montreal studio. Their lecture:Touchy, Feely: The Pleasures and Pitfalls of Creating Games for Apple Devices.

Tech:

Julien Merceron, global CTO of Square Enix. His lecture: Building a Global Technology Strategy When East Meets West.

 

Jeff Orkin, a doctoral student at the MIT Media Lab. Orkin currently conducts research on collective artificial intelligence. His lecture: Collective Artificial Intelligence for Next Generation Gameplay.
