Customers Help Development of 2011 Autodesk Product Line

San Rafael, Calif. - More than 20,000 members of the Autodesk Customer Feedback Programs played a key role in the development and beta testing of Autodesk’s 2011 product line, and Autodesk is issuing an open invitation for additional customers to join and participate in the testing and shaping of future products.
“Autodesk customers play a critical role in our software development, testing and validation process” says Chris Bradshaw, Autodesk senior vice president and Chief Marketing Officer. “Members of our beta programs provide us with essential feedback at many stages in the development cycle, which helps our products meet the needs and demands of our user community. We are always looking for new members of our Customer Feedback Program and invite Autodesk customers to help shape the future of our products.”

The Autodesk Customer Feedback Program, which began over 10 years ago, is an interactive online community where Autodesk users can experience products before they’re officially released. Thousands of Customer Feedback members were given advance access to the 2011 releases of Autodesk software, including AutoCAD software, Autodesk Inventor software, Autodesk 3ds Max  software and Autodesk Revit software, helping to improve the stability of these releases and address the needs of the user community. Beta users also have the opportunity to test and influence the course of future products during the development phase and learn new features early, so migration to newer software versions is easier. Beta testing is an important part of developing successful products as it provides a real world environment that is far more robust than any QA or lab testing process.

Autodesk welcomes customers on multiple platforms to participate in the Customer Feedback Program. With Autodesk’s increased offerings for Apple products, including the recent launch of Autodesk Smoke for Mac OS X, native Mac versions of Autodesk Maya and the Autodesk Alias products, Autodesk SketchBook Mobile for iPod and iPod Touch, Autodesk SketchBookPro for iPad, and support for most other Autodesk applications running on Boot Camp and Parallels, users of Apple hardware are encouraged to join. Customers can register and complete an online Community Profile at https://beta.autodesk.com/signup
