Blackmagic Design Presents Three Video Capture Cards

London - Blackmagic Design Inc. is showcasing its new DeckLink HD Extreme, new Deck Link Studio, and new DeckLink SDI for the first time to the broadcast and postproduction industries at Broadcast Video Expo 2009.
The complete Blackmagic Design product line will be shown, including a wide range of converters and router products.



DeckLink HD Extreme is the world's first capture card to feature SDI, HDMI, and analog component, NTSC, PAL, and S-Video capture and playback, combined with Dual Link 3 Gb/s SDI technology and hardware down conversion, says a representative. With SDI, HDMI, and analog video capture and playback, combined with both balanced analog and AES/EBU digital audio, DeckLink HD Extreme lets customers connect to all decks, cameras, and monitors. DeckLink HD Extreme instantly switches between SD and HD video, so is well suited to all postproduction and broadcast users when working on design, editing, paint, and effects tasks.With built in 3 Gb/s SDI, DeckLink HD Extreme can also instantly switch to full resolution 2K feature-film editing. DeckLink HD Extreme also includes built-in hardware down converter so users can monitor both SD and HD at the same time during playback and capture.

DeckLink Studio features SDI and enhanced analog connections: SDI, analog component, S-Video, and composite video. It also has a built-in hardware down converter and an incredible 4 channels of balanced analog audio, 8 channels of SDI audio, and 2 channels of AES/EBU digital with sample rate converters. DeckLink Studio lets users move between SD and HD workflows. For a broadcast strength solution, DeckLink Studio also has RS-422 deck control and black burst and tri-sync reference input.

DeckLink SDI combines high-quality, 10-bit SD/HD-SDI capture and playback with a low cost. For use with SDI decks or in large facilities with SDI routers, it offers SD/HD-SDI capture and playback. The world's smallest 10-bit SDI video card works in both SD and HD and includes blackburst, tri-sync reference input, 8 channels of SDI embedded audio, and RS422 deck control.
