San Francisco, Calif. - ATTO Technology Inc. is presenting its newest storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments during the Macworld Conference & Expo. The company is demonstrating the ATTO FastStream SC 8500 RAID storage controller, among other solutions, in an editing workflow of five streams of 10-bit uncompressed HD video in a RAID environment.
Macworld visitors are among the first to experience a pre-launch demonstration of the ATTO FastStream SC 8500, the latest addition to its FastStream RAID storage controller line with 8Gb Fibre Channel connectivity to 3Gb SAS/SATA storage.
The ATTO Express SAS R380 RAID Adapter for direct-attached storage environments is also being demonstrated and ATTO's complete product line is being showcased at booth 1543. The ATTO FastStream SC 8500 demonstration shows an editing workflow of five streams of 10-bit uncompressed HD video in a RAID environment. FastStream SC 8500 offers RAID 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60 protection using four 8Gb Fibre Channel host interfaces and supports up to 128 3Gb SAS or SATA drives providing the highest available bandwidth for steaming applications. The demonstration also features the multipathing functionality of FastStream with advanced load balancing for high-availability storage environments. Additionally, visitors can see how the ATTO Express NAV browser-based storage management tool simplifies set up and management of storage infrastructures remotely.
The FastStream offers best-of-class performance for shared environments with RAID parity and a scalable solution that allows for economical storage expansion with affordable SAS and SATA JBODs. The FastStream is interoperable within dustry-leading storage enclosures, disk drives, and SAN management software. The ATTO ExpressSAS R380 demonstration shows an editing workflow running multiple streams of standard-definition video with RAID protection for direct-attached SAS storage.
