PipelineFX Supports 3Delight Renderer

Honolulu, Hawaii - PipelineFX, makers of Qube! render-farm management software for film production, game development, and digital media education, has released official support for DNA Research's 3Delight RenderMan-compliant renderer.
3Delight is a fast, high-quality RenderMan-compliant renderer designed to produce photorealistic images in demanding production environments. Some of its features include ray tracing, global illumination (including photon mapping, final gathering, and high dynamic range lighting and rendering), realistic motion blur, depth of field, complete geometry support (including efficient rendering of hair and fur), programmable shaders, quality antialiasing, and antialiased shadow maps.

Advanced features include Ri filtering, network caching, and a customizable workflow. It is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X platforms.

Qube!'s Maya jobtype supports 3Delight as a Maya-compliant renderer. An artist chooses “3Delight” as the renderer within Maya and fills in the submission dialog. The render machines launch Maya and use the plug-in 3Delight renderer to render the scene. Artists can then easily manage their 3Delight jobs through the Qube! GUI, the standard artist interface to a Qube!-based render farm.

"The addition of 3Delight support provides Qube! customers with a high-quality and cost-effective option for film-quality rendering," says Troy Brooks, CEO of PipelineFX.  “DNA Research's support for 3Delight as a Maya-compliant plug-in renderer makes it easy for artists to access this powerful renderer, and Qube! support makes it that much easier to distribute those jobs across a farm.”
