InterSense Debuts MicroTrax User Devices for the IS-900 Inertial-ultrasonic Motion-tracking System

Bedford, Mass. - InterSense Inc., maker of precision motion-tracking technology, has released new MicroTrax user interface devices for its IS-900 inertial-ultrasonic motion-tracking system.
The new MicroTrax devices offer a small-form-factor head tracker that facilitates the use of passive and active stereo glasses in 3D applications, a smaller clip-on power pack, an ergonomic handheld wireless wand designed for immersive display applications, an easy way to insert fresh batteries, and a docking station for storing and recharging the devices when not in use.

Benefits of the new MicroTrax devices include:

Comfort: The MicroTrax head tracker and wireless transmitter are smaller and lighter than previous versions, increasing user comfort during long sessions. The ergonomically designed wand enables users to more intuitively interact with the immersive environment.

Convenient: The new docking station provides in-situ recharging capability and a common resting place for the MicroTrax devices when not in use. All devices were designed to allow for quick, easy replacement of spare batteries (included).

Rugged: All the devices were designed with elegance, and yet are durable enough to withstand rigorous handling during operation.
