E.magiciens 2006 Celebrates Progressive Content Creation

Valenciennes, France - E.magiciens 2006, the premier European celebration of progressive digital content creation within Europe and North America, returns to Valenciennes, France, this December 5 through 8, as talented artists and students converge to share, showcase, and experience provocative and enlightening digital 2D and 3D animation.
Organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Valenciennes Region, the festival highlights student projects from the most celebrated art schools in the world, spotlights guest speakers and lecturers from prominent visual effects and animation studios, delivers training sessions from industry professionals,  and hosts onsite competitions where participants storyboard and deliver animated projects for top prizes in the Chained Animation and WebJam contests.  
 
E.magiciens’ TV News is also onsite to report behind-the-scenes news and broadcast interviews from attendees and guest speakers, and daily highlights from the event. Artist Michel Ocelot, president of ASIFA and Association Internationale du Film de Animation, joins E.magiciens this year to share his own personal animation and filmmaking techniques and experiences, and offering  insight as to what it takes to become a top animator. Ocelot’s film “Azur et Asmar” will also be showcased at the opening evening ceremonies.
 
Also featured at this year’s event are artists and speakers from many prestigious studios and institutions throughout Europe and America, including DreamWorks Animation, Lexis Numerique, SupInfocom, Universite de Valenciennes, and many others.
