Lightbeam Systems at NAB 2011

At NAB 2011, Lightbeam introduced a new version of its high-end Lightbeam System 8100/12100 Series Compositing Workstation and an entirely new product, the Lightbeam System 810/1210 Series 3D Workstation. The 810/1210 Series is an affordable professional workstation that includes 24GB of RAM, Fermi Quadro graphics, a BluRay drive, 8 cores, a 1 TB drive and all at price point starting under $4000. 

In addition, Lightbeam showcased their powerful 12100 Series Professional Film and Television Production Workstation computing systems running mocha Pro software in the Imagineer Systems' booth which includes the following configuration:

  • 24GB RAM, supports up to 288GB RAM
  • Windows 7 x64 Professional Edition
  • Dual Intel X5680 CPUs, 12 physical cores total, 24 logical cores
  • Quadro 6000 (Fermi) Graphics
  • Dual redundant hot-swappable 1400-watt power supplies
  • Blu-Ray R/W drive
  • 2TB hard drive with dual quick-swap bays
  • 4.8TB playback SAS array, up to 1632MB per second playback speed.
