ATTO Technology Announces MultiPath Director

Category: NAB
Las Vegas - ATTO Technology Inc., a provider of storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, announced its Fibre Channel connectivity solution that enables workstations in heterogeneous operating environments to connect directly to enterprise-class storage systems. ATTO’s MultiPath Director, a high-performance solution that keeps data available in real time for multiple users, is now incorporated into ATTO’s Celerity 8Gb/s Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters.

MultiPath Director provides professional communities in media and entertainment, education, government, scientific, and many other growth markets the option to integrate enterprise-class storage features into workstation applications.

Available with ATTO’s single-, dual-, and quad-channel 8Gb/s Fibre Channel HBAs and qualified for use with the ATTO FastStream RAID Storage Controller. MultiPath Director addresses workstation-level needs for load-balancing and automatic path failover, features that were previously available only at the server level.

MultiPath Director provides multiple redundant paths to enterprise storage for high-performance connectivity, and is qualified with leading enterprise-class storage vendors like IBM, HP, EMC, Dot Hill, NetApp, and LaCie. By enabling multiple workstations to connect to high-end Fibre Channel storage, MultiPath Director creates a shared storage environment. It allows users to collaborate on projects and gain real-time access to content in heterogeneous environments that deploy Windows, Linux, and Mac servers and workstations.
