Assimilate Announces SDI Output for Scratch and Scratch Lab on Mac OS X via AJA Kona 3G card

Amsterdam - Assimilate, a provider of postproduction tools for digital workflows, has collaborated with AJA Video Systems to deliver SDI output for its Scratch and Scratch Lab products, running on Mac OS X, via the Kona 3G card.

The company also is previewing new remote grading and stereo/3D features.

Assimilate's new collaboration with AJA will bring Mac-based workflows on par with the performance of its Windows applications, allowing artists to work with 10-bit calibrated displays and output to tape via HDSDI. This feature will be available in Q4 of 2011.

Assimilate will be previewing new remote grading sessions over IP using dual Scratch systems, giving Scratch artists new commercial opportunities in today's geographically dispersed international production industry. In addition, the company will show new 3D stereo features that make comprehensive handling of left-eye and right-eye images, either together or separately, far more intuitive.

All of Assimilate's demonstrations are being held at Stand H7.11 at the RAI in Amsterdam.
